Updated Plymouth Page

22 September 2010

I have updated the Plymouth page on my site, which features useful information about Plymouth.  I’ve been meaning to update the page for a while and have removed old content and integrated widgets to display news and information from a variety of sources.  For example, a weather forecast for Plymouth, news from my Twitter Plymouth News list stream (consisting of various sources of news and information) and embedded pictures of Plymouth and South West from my Flickr photo set.  The page provides the above Plymouth information directly on one page, enabling visitors to access several aspects in one place as well as the content automatically updating.

Hopefully, learners, colleagues, friends, family and other users of the site will find the updated page useful.  Access the Plymouth page through the main drop down menu available on the site: www.dpm.me.uk

YouTube Channel Launched

26 May 2010

I have recently launched my YouTube Channel, which features a selection of uploaded videos / clips featuring me to showcase my work activities.  The clips which are currently available on the channel include extracts from videos shown at past conferences to highlight the development, success and the sustainability of the successful workplace learning centre I previously managed and developed.  They also illustrate some benefits of workplace learning, e-learning courses and partnership working.

Eventually, more clips will be uploaded.  To view the YouTube Channel go to http://www.youtube.com/dpmassey

Introduction – David Massey’s / DPM.me.uk Blog

1 May 2010

Before I start formally publishing blog posts on a variety of topics, I thought it would be appropriate to provide a short description of what to expect from this blog and future posts.

Firstly, this is a personal blog and will focus on topics and articles related to my work or of personal interest.  It’s a place for my professional and personal ideas, opinions and short articles focusing on Post-16 education and learning, training, IT, technology as well as other areas.  There will be a variety of content – text, pictures and links.  For example, you can expect a variety of blog posts associated with such areas as:

  • IT / ICT, Computing and Technology
  • Learning, Skills, Teaching, Training and Education
  • E-Learning
  • Internet and Web
  • Social Media / Networking
  • As well as other various topics

I launched and started a blog as I already had a website, which has been online for many years.  The blog provides a natural addition to the site in the format of blog posts and enables me to publish a variety of articles.  I intend to publish blog posts as often as possible, however as always the frequency of posts depends on the amount of time available.

Well, I hope this post explains what to expect from my blog and future posts.  To find out more about David Massey or DPM.me.uk, please look at this blog or go to www.dpm.me.uk

Finally, I hope you enjoy my blog.

David
